Amy asked that I write a few words of why I volunteer and support Primates Inc. It’s quite simple really…I believe in her mission to provide an opportunity and a place for research labs to retire their monkeys. Everyone should have a cause and mine are animals and specifically Primates Inc.
Rhesus Monkeys have given so much to us and now it is our turn to give back. They aren’t asking for much….a peaceful, secure, and safe environment to live out their lives. I would do anything for them and I have…..clean up after them, prepare their produce, and even have cleaned their blankets in a sink when the washer was temporarily inoperable. Every minute I spend with them is a treasure. They are funny, mischievous, sweet, and intelligent.
It’s an honor and a privilege to be a small part of Amy and her staffs journey to provide a place where these wonderful beings can enjoy their retirement… they have sacrificed so much for us.
